Mont-Roig rock climbing guidebook
This guidebook covers the multi-pitch limestone routes at Mont-Roig, which is near Camarasa and Balaguer in the Lleida area of Spain. This guidebook details over 200 multi-pitch routes on excellent limestone cliffs with many of these around 150m long, and some up to 300m long. The majority of the routes covered are graded at F6b or below with many easy routes. Though some routes are fully bolted the majority are traditional routes requiring cams and nuts.
Published in 2014 by Desnivel, all the routes are shown on colour photo topos. Further information is given for each route regarding the type of gear required, overall length and a French grade for each pitch. The best time to climb at Mont-Roig is from autumn through to spring, and as such Mont-Roig has become one of Lleida’s best winter rock climbing areas. Written in Spanish and Catalan throughout though the topos are very clear in identifying each route.
